Angling Direct is proud to announce that Climax Tackle has officially joined the Angling Direct Group. As you might already know, we acquired Climax Tackle towards the end of the summer and we are now beginning the process of re-branding Climax Tackle as an Angling Direct company. We’ve already merged the two websites, so you can find the full range of Climax Tackle products right here, along with all our existing brands.
Climax Tackle was established in 2003 and is one of the largest northern tackle shops in England, with 17,000 square feet packed full with tackle for carp, coarse, match, sea, fly, and pike anglers. Angling Direct is the largest online tackle retailer in the UK, stocking over 10,000 products from approximately 200 of the leading brands in the industry. The company has grown a lot since its early days and it originally started out as a small independent tackle shop in Norfolk. Over the past thirty years Angling Direct has expanded and, to date, has 13 tackle shops across the country, including six in East Anglia, five in the South East, and two in the Midlands.
Climax Tackle, soon to be Angling Direct Sheffield, will be our 14th store and our first in the North of England. It is situated 15 minutes away from junctions 29 and 31 on the M1, so it is easily accessible for all our northern customers. We’ll be doing a full store re-fit as part of the re-branding process, so we do apologise if you pop and find thing a little out of place. When we have finished, you’ll be able to enjoy an open and fresh experience; with thousands of new products available to browse and buy, it will be more than worth it! Just like our online site, you’ll be able to find all of the biggest names in the industry on its shelves. You’ll be able to find Angling Direct’s exclusive products and incredible deals, too. Visitors will be able to browse from a huge range of poles, rods, reels, floats, bait, a whole heap of angling accessories, and much more besides. With permanent displays of bivvies, bedchairs, seatboxes, and rods and reels set up ready for customers to try out, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
